One man is dead and another is injured after a motor vehicle collision in Queens turned into a deadly attack with a baseball bat early Sunday morning.
According to police sources, the incident unfolded at around 1:10 a.m. near exit 21B of the eastbound Belt Parkway, also known as Farmer’s Boulevard. Cops say officers from the 116th Precinct rushed to the area after a report of an assault in progress.
Upon arrival, they discovered a 47-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with severe head trauma and a 39-year-old man with minor injuries to his arm. The older of the pair was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he could not be saved and was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Crisanie Dockery of Springfield Gardens. The 39-year-old was treated on scene.
Police sources report that the deadly assault stemmed from a motor vehicle collision that got a suspect so enraged he attacked the men with a baseball bat.
Police did not immediately have a description of the suspect, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
