A woman suffered minor injuries after gunfire erupted in a normally quiet neighborhood in Queens on Sunday night, police said.
According to law enforcement sources, officers from the 104th Precinct responded to a 911 call near the intersection of Wyckoff Avenue and Hancock Street in Ridgewood just before 11:30 p.m. on July 26.
When they arrived, they found the woman bloodied from two graze wounds to her leg. She told officers she had been standing at the location with a group of friends when she heard multiple gunshots and suddenly felt pain in her leg. EMS brought the woman, bloodied from her injuries, to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Meanwhile, police canvassed the area and recovered several shell casings near the scene of the crime.
So far, no arrests have been made, and police have not yet released information about a possible suspect or motive. It is also unclear right now whether the woman was the intended target or was struck by random gunfire.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Through July 19, the 104th Precinct had reported just three shootings year-to-date, equal to the number it had at the same point in 2025.
