Two men were hospitalized after being slashed at a high school in the Bronx on Monday morning, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the bloody incident occurred inside William Howard Taft High School Educational Campus, located at 240 East 172nd St. in Claremont, at about 10:20 a.m. on July 27.
Officers from the 44th Precinct rushed to the location after receiving a 911 call of a man slashed at the location.
When they arrived, the cops found two victims: a 53-year-old man who had been slashed in his left arm, and a 30-year-old man who had suffered a minor laceration to his left hand.

The circumstances leading up to the assault were not yet known amid the ongoing investigation, police sources said.
EMS rushed both victims to BronxCare Health System for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.
No arrests have yet been made in the case. Police are looking for the suspected slasher, described as a male in his teens who was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue sweatpants and blue sneakers while carrying a black backpack.

In a statement, the Department of Education (DOE) said the incident was “both unacceptable and deeply concerning.”
“School staff and school safety agents responded immediately and followed established safety protocols, while NYPD and EMS were swiftly on site to further ensure the safety of our students and staff,” according to a DOE spokesperson. “Acts of violence have no place in our school community, and this incident will be addressed with the utmost seriousness in accordance with school policies and the law. We will be providing additional support to the school in the coming days.”
Through July 19, the 44th Precinct had reported 547 felony assaults year-to-date, down 5.2% from the 577 that occurred at the same point in 2025.
