The National Labor Relations Board is dropping its challenge against a New York law that attempted to assert state authority over private-sector union elections and disputes, after a judge blocked its enforcement in a separate lawsuit brought by Amazon.com.
The state’s Public Employment Relations Board and the NLRB agreed to dismiss the case pending in the US District Court for the Northern District of New York, they said in a Monday court filing. The Amazon Labor Union, a Teamsters affiliate that had intervened in the case to help defend the state law, also agreed to dismissal.
