Destination Tomorrow, the Bronx’s dedicated LGBTQ+ center based in the South Bronx, and a national nonprofit, has launched its LGBTQI+ Mini-Grant Program and, as pre-advised, applications are open through July 31 at 11.59 p.m.
Destination Tomorrow officials said the program will provide eligible New York State-based organizations with grants of up to $15,000 to support innovative, community-driven programs that improve equity and positive outcomes for LGBTQI+ communities, from healthcare to food security, to education, and economic opportunity.

Founded in 2009, Destination Tomorrow officials said the organization has provided what they said are essential wraparound support and services to LGBTQ+ communities across New York, Atlanta and Washington, D.C for nearly 20 years. Through the program, they said the organization aims to equip [other LGBTI+ or other] organizations most deeply connected to the communities they serve with the resources they need to expand their impact.
Sage Rivera, Destination Tomorrow’s chief strategy officer, has spoken of the need for the program given the funding gaps, Rivera says, that many LGBTQI+ organizations face. He also highlights the importance of investing in community-based solutions.
