A Bronx neighborhood is grieving the loss of a 12-year-old boy who was shot while on his bike just steps away from his home over the weekend.

Surveillance video of the shooting in the Mount Eden neighborhood shows a group of men fighting in the crosswalk right outside a bodega.

Jacob Freytes can be seen in the video standing over his bike on the sidewalk.

The suspect, William Ferrer, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including second-degree murder.

Memorials have been set up outside the bodega where he was killed and outside the building where he lived with his mother and two younger siblings.

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to discuss the incident and more.

“Our hearts are very heavy at losing 12-year-old Jacob,” she said.

“Jacob was an innocent victim taken far too soon from his family, and we denounce this in all forms,” Gibson said. “And we’re sending love to his family and the community of Mount Eden.”
