NEED TO KNOW

Tom Holland appears on an upcoming episode of the web series Celebrity Substitute

In a PEOPLE-exclusive clip, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star fields a question from a classroom of kids: is he married to Zendaya?

“You guys obviously haven’t been media trained like the publicists that I speak with,” quips Holland

Tom Holland has managed to keep details about his marriage to Zendaya to himself. But he’s no match for a classroom of kids.

Appearing in an upcoming episode of Celebrity Substitute, Holland, 30, teaches stunts to a class of young New York City students. In a new clip shared exclusively with PEOPLE, the Spider-Man star can be seen dodging a question about tying the knot.

“Are you married?” asks Victor, one of the students featured in the clip. “Uh, that is a very important question,” responds a slightly flustered Holland.

“I am — ” says the British star, interrupting himself to choose his words carefully. “You guys obviously haven’t been media trained like the publicists that I speak with.”

Victor, Celebrity Substitute host Julian Shapiro-Barnum tells us, has “never heard of a publicist.” In a solo interview, the young student presents his theory to the camera; Holland, he says, is “definitely married. I don’t know why he avoided my question.”

The Odyssey star also answers a student named Kayson, who asks if Holland takes Zendaya, 29, “to a date.”

“Yeah, all the time,” says Holland without hesitation. “My favorite thing to do.”

While Holland and Zendaya generally keep their romance out of the public eye, the former confirmed in June in an interview with Esquire that he and the Euphoria Emmy winner had married. Her longtime stylist, Law Roach, also announced in March that their “wedding has already happened. You missed it.”

The two actors appear this summer in both The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (in theaters July 30). They originally met while filming the Marvel-Sony franchise launcher, 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Celebrity Substitute has welcomed Quinta Brunson, Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, A$AP Rocky, Role Model, Gigi Hadid and FKA Twigs to speak with kids in classrooms. In addition to Holland, upcoming guests this season include KATSEYE and Millie Bobby Brown.

In each episode of the web series, Amazon helps clear items from one Amazon Classroom List, a tool designed to streamline how teachers build and share resources for classrooms and students in their community.
