FREETOWN, N.Y. (WBNG) — A Cortland County woman died over the weekend from injuries related to an ATV crash in early July, according to information from the New York State Police.
Natasha R. Kinney, 34, died at the hospital on Sunday, July 26, after troopers said she was involved in an ATV crash back on July 7.
Around 11:50 p.m. on July 7, troopers were sent to the 4200 block of Stramba Road in the town of Freetown for a reported ATV crash.
Troopers learned that Kinney was driving southeast on Stramba Road when she swerved to avoid a porcupine in the roadway. This action caused the ATV to overturn into a ditch, ejecting Kinney, troopers said.
Kinney was taken from the scene and brought to SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse for serious injuries, where she later died on the 26th.
