A 27-year-old woman has died after being hit by an apparent wrong-way driver as she walked — in the crosswalk — across a West Village street Thursday, police say.
The woman, who hasn’t been identified, was walking near the intersection of Morton Street and Seventh Avenue when police say a GMC driver with New Jersey plates traveling against the flow of traffic hit her.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver stayed at the scene.
No other details were immediately available.
