WAKEFIELD, the Bronx (PIX11) — A 59-year-old Bronx man was shot in the back during a noise dispute with a neighbor Tuesday morning, according to police and sources.

Police responded to the shooting in the home on Boyd Avenue in Wakefield just before 9 a.m., police said.

The man was found with a gunshot wound to the lower back and taken to the hospital for treatment, authorities said.

Sources said the man and was arguing with a neighbor about loud noise before gunfire erupted.

The suspect fled and barricaded himself at another location but was not there when officers arrived, sources said.

There have been no arrests.
