OGDENSBURG, New York (WWNY) – Two brothers from Ogdensburg were arrested July 22 in connection with a burglary at a local tiki bar, according to the Ogdensburg Police Department.
Police said the department received a complaint on July 18 regarding a break-in at the tiki bar located at 119 West River Street. Police say two entered the business and removed items valued at more than $3,000.
Elliot Roberts, 23, of Ogdensburg was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class D felony under New York State Penal Law section 140.20, and Petit Larceny, a Class A misdemeanor under New York State Penal Law section 155.25. Roberts was arraigned in Ogdensburg City Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with no bail, per Judge Massey.
Ryatt Roberts, 19, of Ogdensburg was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree under New York State Penal Law section 140.20, Petit Larceny under New York State Penal Law section 155.25, and Resisting Arrest, a Class A misdemeanor under New York State Penal Law section 205.30. Roberts was arraigned in Ogdensburg City Court and released on his own recognizance, per Judge Massey.
Police said the arrests followed a thorough investigation into the incident.
