Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day is taking place on Thursday when fans can enjoy a signature Blizzard Treat while supporting children’s hospitals throughout the community.
For every Blizzard Treat purchased, $1 or more will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network, Dairy Queen announced.
Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. Founded in 1983, the organization says 100% of donations stay local and go towards life-saving treatments, equipment, and family support at community hospitals.
This year, Dairy Queen is pairing with Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski along with the Savannah Bananas to encourage participation in the celebration nationwide.
“I’m honored to partner with Dairy Queen for Miracle Treat Day and help shine a light on the incredible work happening at children’s hospitals across the country,” said Lipinski.
Since Dairy Queen first partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network more than 40 years ago, they have helped raise more than $195 million to support local children’s hospitals.
Fans can support the celebration by visiting a participating location on July 30 and purchasing a Blizzard Treat.
