BROOKLYN, Iowa (KCRG) – A traveling Vietnam Veteran’s memorial has made its way to Brooklyn.
“The Wall That Heals” is a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that’s in Washington, D.C.
It contains the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who sacrificed their lives in the war. There is also a mobile education center.
It will be at the BGM High School football field starting at 6 p.m. Thursday night until 2 p.m. Sunday. A Chinook helicopter also is scheduled to land west of the school building at 3:30 Thursday afternoon.
The wall is open to viewing 24 hours a day and is free to the public.
