Sydney Tolley will represent the Mendota Fire Department at the 79th Annual Sweet Corn Queen Pageant.
Tolley was a three-sport athlete at Mendota High School, participating in volleyball, cheerleading and softball all four years.
She was a team captain for both volleyball and cheerleading, and she earned an All-Conference honorable mention in softball.
Tolley was on the honor roll all eight semesters, and she was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, serving as vice president in both groups. She was also a senior class officer.
She was a member of Spanish Club and the yearbook committee for two years, and Interact Club all four years, during which time she served as secretary.
Tolley was also involved in the Worth Committee, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and prom court during her tenure.
This summer as a summer nanny, Tolley is responsible for providing dependable care for children in a safe environment. Her duties include preparing nutritious breakfasts and lunches and planning fun, age-appropriate activities while supervising children throughout the day.
Tolley’s hobbies include going on walks, swimming, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, playing with her dog, babysitting, participating in sports, going on drives and attending concerts.
