Anna Hardee, 47, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Guilderland, New York, after officers received a report from staff at NBT Bank that a “woman attempting to impersonate another individual in order to fraudulently obtain funds from the victim’s home equity line of Credit account,” the Guilderland Police Department said in a media release.

“A preliminary investigation determined that Hardee was in possession of a fraudulent New York State driver’s license bearing the victim’s identifying information and was attempting to withdraw $38,000 from the victim’s account,” the release said. “Further investigation revealed that Hardee was wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies and was also a fugitive from justice from the state of Rhode Island.”
