Authorities are still searching for a gunman who shot a man in Brooklyn on Saturday morning.
According to police sources, cops from the 69th Precinct rushed to an event space named Naomi’s Suite located at 8922 Avenue D in Canarsie at around 11:15 a.m. after reports that a person had been shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 41-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital by EMS, where he was listed in stable condition. Sources familiar with the incident report that the victim has had extensive contact with law enforcement and a lengthy rap sheet.

Meanwhile, police did not immediately have a description of the gunman or a motive for the shooting.
According to the latest NYPD data, while the number of shootings in the confines of the 69th Precinct is down by 33%, the number of shooting victims is up by 14%.
No arrests have been made in this latest incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
