State police are investigating the death of a woman who was found inside a home in Jay, NY, last weekend.
According to a press release, state police responded to a report of a deceased female at a home on Carey Rd. in Jay around 10 am Sunday.
An initial investigation revealed that the woman did not have self-inflicted injuries. Police
The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the woman’s death. According to police, investigators are searching the scene and executing multiple search warrants related to her death.
To aid in the investigation, police are asking residents and businesses in the area around 150 Carey Rd. in Jay to review security camera footage for any suspicious activity between approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 1 and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 2.
