If one royal can be considered the reigning queen of summer dressing, it’s Queen Letizia. All season long, the Spanish monarch has been seen stepping out in sleeveless dresses, waistcoat vests sans dress shirts, and her favorite espadrille wedges, looking like she’s ready to head straight from her current engagement to a cabana by the beach. And her latest look might be one of her best summery ensembles yet.

On Sunday, Letizia attended the closing ceremony of the 2026 Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest, a hybrid festival that takes place in person, and online, and was originally dedicated to films that never made their way to the theaters. The ceremony was held at the La Misericordia cultural center in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, where Letizia made her entrance in a stunning midi dress courtesy of Carolina Herrera.

The ruched, jersey-style design featured an asymmetric, off-the-shoulder neckline, with folds along the bodice and skirt. To mirror the top half, the bottom hem was also cut at an angle, with the material traveling up Letizia’s left leg for a high slit. It was the perfect fusion of elegance with enough skin-baring action to remain breathable for summer.

Letizia paired the piece with beige Signora mules from Gucci, while carrying a gold Begüm Khan clutch to match the hardware on her dress. Finally, she accessorized with earrings shaped like palm leaves from Isabel Guarch, along with rings from Coreterno and Karen Hallam Jewelry, while opting to leave her neck bare as her hair hung down in soft, voluminous waves.

As one of the most prominent queen consorts in the world, Letizia continues to push the boundaries of royal dress codes—and thank goodness she does.
