On July 31, 2026, at approximately 10:28 a.m., New York State Police at Richfield Springs arrested Michael Scott Hudy, 42 of Liverpool following a motorcycle crash in Otsego County.
Troopers responded to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle on State Highway 28 in Fly Creek. Upon arrival, Troopers located a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle in a ditch and Hudy standing nearby.
While interviewing Hudy, a Trooper observed characteristics associated with impairment. After an investigation, Hudy was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drugs, a misdemeanor. He was transported to SP Richfield Springs where he was processed.
Hudy was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear at the Otsego Town Court on October 21, 2026.
Troopers were assisted on scene by the Cooperstown Police Department.
