A 33-year-old man was stabbed in the leg overnight inside a building at 1353 Purdy St. in The Bronx. According to the NYPD, a 911 call was made just before 2 a.m. about a stabbing.

A trail of blood could be seen coming from inside the building onto the sidewalk outside.

The man who was stabbed was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Dominic Jenkins, a resident of the building where the stabbing occurred, spoke to News 12 about how he feels after seeing the crime scene so close to home.

“This building has had problems, a lot of problems. Too many to count. I mean, it’s getting to the point that people don’t want to live here no more. Like they scared to come out now,” shared Jenkins.

No arrest has been made so far.
