SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting drivers to an upcoming lane closure on a Syracuse highway.
The department said Interstate 690 eastbound will be reduced to one lane between Exit 15 (West Street) and the Interstate 81 southbound on-ramp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 5 and Aug. 6, to facilitate overhead sign repairs.
The construction is dependent on weather conditions.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down in work zones, where traffic-related fines are doubled.
