Facebook and other social media platforms are reporting that La Guli Pastry Shop on Ditmars Blvd. in Astoria is ‘temporarily closed. While there are conflicting reports and speculation, there is no better source than to quote the actual business. According to La Guli’s Facebook page, “Dear valued customers, we regret to inform you our business will ‘temporarily close’ due to family matters that need to be handled. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support during the last almost 90 years. Again thank you and we will post when we will reopen.” Many are saying that the posting is accurate and that they will reopen; however, there is also speculation that they will not.
