The Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park says mark your calendars for a beloved Queens summer tradition: the 36th annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on August 8th and 9th, 2026. As the city’s largest multicultural festival and one of the premier dragon boat events in the country, this vibrant weekend brings Meadow Lake to life.
Spectators can cheer on teams paddling colorfully decorated, hand-painted dragon boats across the water. Races kick off at 9:00 AM daily, featuring fast-paced competition across corporate, youth, charity, and open divisions.
Beyond the action on the water, the festival offers non-stop, family-friendly entertainment. Visitors can sample delicious bites at the international food court, explore traditional folk art in the Arts &Crafts area, and catch live music and martial arts demonstrations on the main stage. The Alliance will also be present in a booth at the festival, so come say hello!
