TAP’s motto, “Eat Well, Do Good, Live Better,” is deeply rooted in Brazilian culture and reflects the brand’s commitment to wellness, community, and hospitality. With the opening of its fifth location in NoMad, TAP continues to evolve into a premier wellness and lifestyle brand. Across every location, guests can expect the same exceptional quality, warm hospitality, and meticulous attention to detail from every sandwich to every smile. Whether it’s a power breakfast, post-workout fuel, or a nourishing meal on the go, TAP offers a nutritious, 100% gluten-free menu designed for today’s fast-paced lifestyle. The NoMad location marks another milestone in the brand’s continued expansion and is slated for a grand opening celebration on August 14th.
The menu focuses on nutritious Brazilian superfoods. “TAP,” which stands for “Tapioca sandwiches, Açaí bowls, and Pão de queijo,” represents three Brazilian staples and serves as the foundation of the café’s offerings. The menu features açaí sourced from Pará in the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest, naturally sweetened with organic Guaraná extract, along with tapioca imported from Brazil and coffee beans from Minas Gerais, one of the country’s most renowned coffee-producing regions.
Menu highlights include tapioca sandwiches made with gluten-free, soft cassava flour. Selections include BaconeggNcheese, crispy turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, and mozzarella; Chicken Club, shredded chicken, fresh tomatoes, and mozzarella; Philly “Rio” Steak, lean shredded steak with green, red, and yellow peppers; and Salmon & Mango Fresh, smoked salmon, mango, cream cheese, and a house-made vinaigrette.
TAP’s signature açaí bowls highlight vibrant fruit flavors and authentic ingredients such as The Monster Bowl, açaí, TapMade granola, strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, with coconut flakes, cocoa nibs, and chia seed; and Samba Bowl, açaí, granola, passion fruit, and mango.
Guests can also enjoy a variety of plant-powered smoothies, including Zenergy, açaí, bananas, strawberries, and blueberries; and PB Natural, açaí, natural peanut butter, and bananas. For an added boost, protein smoothies are available with options like Power Up, bananas, strawberries, cocoa nibs, almond butter, and vegan protein powder, and Brazilian Cacao Fuel, cacao pulp, banana, passion fruit, and whey protein.
TAP’s best-selling pão de queijo offers a beloved taste of Brazil through its warm, bite-sized cheese breads made in-house with a signature blend of mozzarella, Swiss, and Parmesan cheeses. Available in three varieties, Traditional, Spicy, and Pesto, these popular favorites can also be purchased by the frozen bag to enjoy freshly heated at home. The interior is designed to transport guests to Brazil through vibrant design and immersive artwork. Colorful murals by Rio de Janeiro-based graffiti artist Acme (@universoacme), a colorful 10-foot sculpture of TAP’s iconic Toucan by Luciano Cian (@lucianocian) at the entrance, comfortable café-style seating, and Bossa Nova beats come together to create an atmosphere that captures the spirit of Brazil.
Brothers Pedro and Cleo Uchôa are the Brazilian visionaries leading the brand. As CEO, Pedro leads TAP’s creative vision, shaping the brand’s identity and creating memorable experiences through storytelling and innovation. As COO, Cleo is the operational force behind the brand. The way the brothers thoughtfully adapted the experience to the U.S. market while staying true to the brand’s core values has been central to its continued success.
The NoMad location marks TAP’s continued expansion, joining its existing locations in Midtown East, Astoria, the Upper West Side, and Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. With Coral Gables coming soon and franchise opportunities underway, TAP’s growth shows no signs of slowing.
