As for Haywood, he was located soon thereafter on Mineola Boulevard and attempted to run away from police on foot, police said. Once police caught up to him, police said “a violent struggle ensued,” in which Haywood started swinging his arms and trying to pull away from police. Eventually, police arrested Haywood, police said.
Haywood is now facing charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree assault, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, police said.
