The new Osseo Area Schools attendance boundaries go into effect at district elementary and middle schools this fall for the 2026-27 school year.

In May 2025, the Osseo Area School Board approved final plans, concluding a multiyear process to update school borders based on the district’s enrollment trends. Aspen Ridge Elementary, in the northwestern portion of Maple Grove, is nearing completion. It will accommodate increased residential development in that area, with plans to welcome students in September.
Approximately 2,000 elementary and middle school students will be impacted.
The district reported there were two key adjustments made to the final plan based on community input. First is the move of Fernbrook Elementary’s northwest boundary from Rush Creek Parkway further west – to follow the natural path of Rush Creek in order to keep all families in the Sundance Woods neighborhood at the same school. The second will shift the Osseo Middle School boundary north of Highway 610, farther east to match the Osseo Senior High School boundary.
Neighborhoods around elementary schools will remain mostly intact as more natural barriers are utilized. All but Oak View Elementary would be within their own attendance boundary. This means students closest to each school will be able to attend and potentially walk there.
Impacts to middle schools include eliminating the non-adjoining geographic areas that currently exist near North View Middle School. All but Brooklyn Middle STEAM would be within their own attendance boundary, meaning the closest students to each school will be able to attend that school.
