Real estate broker weighs in on pied-à-terre tax lawsuit

Last week, homeowners filed a lawsuit challenging the Mamdani administration’s rollout of the new pied-à-terre tax.

The lawsuit claims the city forced the burden of proving full-time residency onto city homeowners and residents.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the city is prepared to defend the tax in court.
