Charli xcx reveals she was in disbelief about Nicole Kidman attending her Brat tour
“She’s one of our last truly legendary movie stars,” the pop star tells British Vogue of the Practical Magic 2 actress
Kidman attended her May 4 show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Charli xcx was thrilled about one particular special guest during her Brat tour.
In a British Vogue cover story featuring Nicole Kidman published on Thursday, Aug. 13, the pop star spoke about how excited she was to have the Practical Magic 2 actress at her concert.
Kidman, 59, had previously attended Charli’s May 4 concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

“She’s one of our last truly legendary movie stars,” Charli (born Charlotte Aitchison), 34, told the publication. “She came to my show in New York when I was on the Brat tour. I couldn’t believe she came.”
The “Camera” singer added, “Like, the Nicole Kidman is at my show… what the f—?”
In February, Charli showed her love for the Big Little Lies star by wearing a T-shirt featuring three photos of her and “NICOLE” emblazoned on it on TikTok.
Kidman then shared a screenshot of one of the pop star’s videos featuring her wearing the T-shirt, which she captioned with: “Looks like I need to get myself a #brat shirt now @charli_xcx 😂💚.”
The “365” musician has shared her love for the Babygirl star’s work over the years, including her 1995 comedy-thriller To Die For, which is about a small-town weather reporter named Suzanne Stone who decides to have her husband killed so she can make it as a big-time news anchor.

Charli hosted a film series at the Roxy Cinema in New York City in June 2024, which showcased some of her inspiration for BRAT and revealed how Kidman’s character in that film inspired her record.
“All of these films in some way link to the world of BRAT,” the “Wink Wink” performer said at the time. “Whether it’s Suzanne Stone’s extreme desire for attention in To Die For or the story of rivalry and lust between musicians in The Velvet Goldmine… there are things in there that directly link to the energy of BRAT.”

Charli’s most recent album Music, Fashion, Filmwas released in July.
Kidman is set to reprise her role as Gillian Owens in Practical Magic 2 when it hits theaters on Sept. 11.
