STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — A woman was killed, and a man who was shot in the head died in a murder-suicide on Staten Island Thursday, sources said.
Authorities responded to the shooting inside the apartment on Garth Court in Richmond at around 11:10 a.m., according to the NYPD.
A 39-year-old woman was found with a gunshot wound to the torso and died at the scene. A 27-year-old man was shot in the head and died at the hospital, according to the NYPD.
Sources said the two were friends. It was unclear who shot whom and what may have prompted the shooting.
