Off-Broadway revue Our Sinatra, A Musical Celebration will make a return for its 25th anniversary this fall, with a 12-week engagement at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater. Performances will begin September 11, with an official opening planned for September 15. The production will share its venue with Going Bacharach, which begins its run September 9.
The original creators and performers will all be back, including Eric Comstock, Christopher Gines, and Hilary Kole. The show celebrates the iconic crooner, recreating such favorites as “Fly Me to the Moon,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Come Fly with Me,” “The Best Is Yet To Come,” Come Rain or Come Shine,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “Where or When,” “Day In-Day Out,” “One for My Baby,” “The Lady Is a Tramp,” and lots more.
The revue premiered in 1999 at the Algonquin Oak Room, getting a commercial run the next year, first at Blue Angel Theatre and later the Reprise Room. Ultimately, the show played more than 1,000 performances over a two-year run, which was followed by two national tours and many regional engagements.
The entire production will be supervised by Richard Maltby, Jr., with Kurt Stamm directing. Jack Lewin is back to produce for Lewin Productions, and Visceral Entertainment is general managing. Ian McQueen will serve as production stage manager, and Peter F. Feuchtwanger will be production supervisor.
