GRAVESEND, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A Brooklyn autoshop worker is fighting for their life after they were viciously stabbed over a dozen times Friday morning, sources told PIX11 News.
The suspect walked into the shop on Avenue X in Gravesend just before 11 a.m. and told the worker he was going to go bankrupt, sources said. He then stabbed the worker roughly 16 times, per sources.
The suspect barricaded himself inside, and the FDNY had to kick down the door to access the victim, sources said.
The victim was rushed to a hospital with a collapsed lung, according to sources. They were listed in critical condition.
It was unclear whether the suspect and victim knew each other before the attack or if the suspect was a customer of the autoshop.
The suspect was taken into custody, sources said. Charges have not yet been filed.
