The complete cast has been set for the premiere of Copperfield! The New Musical off Broadway, starting performances at The Duke on 42nd Street on September 29 ahead of an October 19 opening.
Joining the previously announced Bobby Conte (The Who’s Tommy, Company on Broadway) as David Copperfield are Amelia Cormack, Jed Feder, Calvin Knegten, Kent M. Lewis, Kara Mikula, Miyuki Miyagi, Nancy O’Connor, Dan Piering, Aaron Michael Ray, Will Reynolds, Owen Squire Smith, Alexander Sovronsky, Erica Spyres, Andy Taylor, Cathryn Wake, Tatiana Wechsler, and Henry Witcher.
Adapted from Charles Dickens’s famous 1850 novel David Copperfield, the musical follows the young English boy of the title as he comes of age amid hardship at home, school, and work. The stage show is written by Jeffrey Scharf and directed and choreographed by Gabriel Barre, with orchestrations and arrangements by Sonny Paladino.
Copperfield! The New Musical also features scenic design by Edward Pierce, costume design by Jen Caprio, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Shannon Slaton, and hair and wig design by J. Jared Janas.
