Ready to make your IMDb debut and get paid to drift through a recreation of 1990s New York City? Julia Fox is hunting for authentic NYC faces for her brand-new directorial feature—and local background actors can earn up to $160 a day just for showing up on set.
The project, titled Sixth Avenue Saints, is currently holding an open casting call through 25 Casting.
Set against the gritty, pre-gentrified streets of 1993 Brooklyn and Downtown Manhattan, the film follows a sensitive 12-year-old boy named Luan navigating a fractured home life, a secret sanctuary in an adult video store, and an intense friendship with a downtown street kid named Frankie.
To bring this raw, coming-of-age story to life, the production team is searching for extras who radiate “very Brooklyn/NYC vibes.”

Because the story weaves through the piers, underground street culture, and forgotten margins of ’90s New York, casting directors are seeking a wide range of authentic, local faces across all genders and ethnicities:
Kids & Teens: Ages 5–10 and 13–16
Young Adults: Ages 20–30
Adults & Seniors: Extras ages 30–80
No professional acting experience is required, but you do need to look like you genuinely belong on a 1993 Brooklyn street corner.

💰 Pay & filming details
While official shoot dates are still being finalized, production will take place on location across New York City.
Hourly pay: $20
Daily maximum: $160
Guaranteed minimum: $100
