The Gist

Queen Camilla made an appearance with her rarely-seen granddaughter Eliza Lopes on August 17.

Camilla was also joined by her daughter Laura Lopes and her sister Annabel Elliot in Balmoral.

Eliza memorably made a public appearance serving as a bridesmaid during Kate Middleton and Prince William’s 2011 wedding.

Queen Camilla made a girls shopping day a rare family affair as she was joined by three generations of women near Balmoral. On August 17, the 79-year-old was all smiles as she stepped out with her 18-year-old granddaughter Eliza, her daughter Laura Lopes, and her sister Annabel Elliot while perusing shops in the Scottish village of Ballater.

Camilla kicked off the week with some retail therapy close to the royal family’s private summer retreat. In photos shared by the Daily Mail, the beaming mom-of-two—who shares Lopes and son Tom Parker Bowles with ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles—could be seen holding multiple shopping bags in her arms as she left KT Boutique with Eliza right behind her

The teen—who famously served as a flower girl when she was just 3 years old at Kate Middleton and Prince William’s 2011 wedding—looked so grown up as she showed off her edgy sense of style. Eliza, whose dad is Harry Lopes, could be seen wearing a bright red floral printed bomber jacket made out of a leather-like material. She paired the statement outwear piece with a black button-up top, a pair of low-rise baggy jeans, and a thick leather belt embellished with a chunky belt buckle.

The 18-year-old pulled her blonde hair back into a loose ponytail and accessorized with a pair of black trendy oval sunglasses. Eliza’s mom Laura wore a peacoat with a pair of wide-legged black slacks as she walked behind her daughter.

Camilla swapped out her signature vibrant jewel-toned dresses and priceless jewelry by taking a leaf out of Kate Middleton’s style book. The queen could be seen wearing an olive green barn jacket with dark brown accents on the collar and sleeves. She paired the timeless piece with dark-wash jeans, a navy blue knit sweater vest, and a light blue collared dress shirt.

Camilla’s sister Annnabel, 77, coordinated with her older sister in a slate gray jacket, olive green slacks, and a similar navy blue sweater vest and collared shirt combination. According to the publication, Camilla’s 16-year-old twin grandsons Gus and Harry Lopes initially joined the group for the shopping excursion, but quickly went back to wait in the car.

While Eliza tends to stay out of the public eye, Queen Camilla previously opened up about a competitive daily hobby that the two share: Wordle. “She’ll text me to say, ‘I’ve done it in three,’ and I say, ‘Sorry, I’ve done it in two today,'” the then-queen consort joked to British Vogue in 2022. “It’s very satisfactory when it tells you how brilliant you are.”
