Where is The Best State for Swingers in The U.S.?
We’re not sure how the rumors were started, but I think were all familiar with the story that Florida is a hot spot for swingers (especially in the senior citizen community).
The website LoveHoney.com has taken the rumor a step further and dug into the analytics of it all. They took their findings and ranked “The Best U.S. State for Swingers.”
LoveHoney writes “Swinging is all about consent and mutual pleasure. You need a good community around you for it to feel safe, sexy, and fun.” Adding:
So, we wanted to find out which states offer the strongest signs of an active swinger-friendly scene
To the surprise of no one, Florida came out on top taking the #1 spot. Curiosity got the best of us and we wanted to find out where New York landed on the list.
Is New York a Top Location for Swingers?
How does LoveHoney come up with the swinger data? They explained on their website sharing that they “analyzed nine ranking factors.”
Those factors include the following:
Google search interest for swinging related terms, the number of swingers clubs, swinger-related Reddit activity, bars and hotels per capita, and the percentage of marries residents in each state.
With that being said, the data isn’t measuring how many swingers are in each state, but the data takes a look at the “public indicators” that swinging is popular in that region of the U.S.
According to their research, New York is one of the Top 10 states for swingers in the U.S.
New York ranks 8th for the best states for swingers due to the fact that we are home to 30 swingers clubs, and a popular swingers Reddit community with 19,000 visitors and 1,000 “weekly contributions” to said Reddit community.
Additionally, due to New York’s solid nightlife with “16.6 bars per 100K residents” it makes adults looking for the swinging scene plenty of variety.
