East Bloomfield, N.Y. — The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating a crash in Ontario County that killed a Livingston County woman, according to Trooper Lynnea Crane.
Troopers responded to the intersection of Oakmount and Gauss roads in East Bloomfield for a report of a rollover crash at 4:38 p.m. July 30. Crane said they found a vehicle that had overturned and caught fire in a ditch off Oakmount Road, trapping the driver.
First responders pulled Patricia Connell, 88, of Livonia from the vehicle before she was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, Crane said. State police were notified Aug. 4 that Connell died at the hospital the previous night.
No further information about the crash has been released.
