Cops from three precincts are looking for this suspect, who has stolen thousands of dollars’ worth of necklaces in a one-man crime spree in recent weeks.

The NYPD is warning elderly women to conceal their jewelry, or consider leaving their necklaces or chains at home, when walking alone in Queens after noting an increase in “swift robberies” in recent weeks in which perpetrators use mopeds, scooters and bicycles and snatch necklaces, chains, and other jewelry before speeding away.
Police say the latest incident occurred on Friday, Aug. 14 in the confines of the 106th Precinct when a 75-year-old woman was walking near 115th Street and Liberty Avenue in South Richmond Hill at 1 p.m. when a stranger approached her on a bicycle. The unidentified man demanded the victim’s property and then snatched her necklace before riding off southbound on 115th Street toward 107th Avenue, police said. The victim sustained pain and minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene. Her stolen necklace is valued at $400.
The same suspect targeted another elderly woman a day earlier in the confines of the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica when he approached a 71-year-old woman near 105th Avenue and Waltham Street at just after 2:30 p.m. The perpetrator demanded her property and then snatched her necklace that is worth approximately $6,000, police said. The suspect took off westbound on Liberty Avenue toward the Van Wyck Expressway. The victim sustained minor injuries and pain but refused medical attention at the scene.
The suspect began his one-man crime spree in the confines of the 102nd Precinct on the morning of Monday, Aug. 10, but this time he targeted a young woman. The 23-year-old victim was in front of 116-02 101st Ave. in South Richmond Hill at 9:15 a.m. when the cyclist rode up next to her and demanded her property. He snatched her necklace, valued at approximately $1,000, and rode off westbound on 101st Avenue toward 111th Street. The victim was not injured during the encounter.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect and described him as having a medium to dark complexion with black hair with a mustache. On the Aug. 14 robbery he wore a multi-colored T-shirt with the word “majestic” in red lettering, dark pants and rode a bike with a purple frame. In video from the Aug. 10 chain snatching, he wore a dark blue polo shirt with a thin white collar and white stripes on the arms, dark pants and gray Crocs with white socks and carried a red Target bag.
A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to his arrest and indictment.

Through Aug. 16, the 106th Precinct has reported 119 robberies so far in 2026 matching the same number of cases reported at the same point last year, according to the most recent CompStat report. The 103rd Precinct has reported 205 robberies so far this year, 16 fewer than the 221 reported at the same point in 2025, a decline of 7.2%, according to CompStat. The 102nd Precinct has reported 99 robberies so far in 2026, 13 more than the 86 reported at the same point last year, an increase of 15.1%, according to CompStat,
