Scranton Police say a 21-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting that killed a man in July.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A man in connection with a Lackawanna County homicide has now been arrested.

Scranton Police say 21-year-old Ricardo Nunez-Cruz was arrested in New York City and charged connection with killing 39-year-old Clinton Thornton-Hill last month in the city’s West Side.

The shooting took place around 8:30 pm on the 300 block of North Hyde Park in Scranton last month.

Arrest warrant information unsealed Tuesday show that people who were at the scene of the shooting identified Nunez-Cruz as the gunman and said that he shot Thornton-Hill over a drug debt.

Nunez-Cruz is now facing criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and other related charges.
