Police are looking for the driver of a car who fatally struck a man, injured a woman driver and damaged several cars in Hunts Point.
Investigators say the crash happened on Longwood Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard just before 9:30 p.m.
When police arrived, they were informed that a white BMW was traveling northbound on Bruckner Boulevard when it struck a 51-year-old man on a bicycle.
The white BMW did not stop and kept traveling when it struck a Hyundai operated by a 38-year-old woman.
The collision caused the BMW to collide with two additional cars: an unoccupied Lexus and a Chevere. Both cars were parked along Bruckner Boulevard.
The Hyundai from the initial collision also crashed into an unoccupied and parked Volks Wagon.
The operator of the white BMW fled the scene leaving behind the vehicle.
Both the 38-year-old woman and the 51-year-old man were transported by EMS to Lincoln Hospital.
The 38-year-old woman is expected to recover from her injuries. The 51-year-old man died of his injuries at the hospital.
There are no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
