The Queens College Choral Society is seeking new members for its 2026-27 concert season. Upcoming performances will include Handel’s Messiah and the world premiere of work by composer Bruce Saylor, a faculty member in the college’s Aaron Copland School of Music, that features arrangements of “Amazing Grace” and the spiritual, “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.”
The Choral Society is a diverse ensemble that welcomes anyone with prior singing experience to audition, including members of the local community, Queens College faculty, staff, students, and alumni. High school students may participate through the society’s high school outreach program. Those auditioning will be requested to demonstrate basic singing skills; no preparation is necessary. Rehearsals for members will be held weekly at the college on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:45 pm beginning September 2, 2026.

In person auditions will take place in Room 350 of the college’s music building. The college is located at 65-30 Kissena Boulevard, Flushing, New York 11367.
From its founding in 1941, the Queens College Choral Society has offered the campus community—and music lovers throughout New York City and Long Island—the opportunity to learn and perform choral masterpieces.
