3 men shot in broad daylight in the Bronx, authorities say

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – Multiple men were shot in broad daylight by a masked shooter in the Bronx on Thursday afternoon, police said. 

Officers received a 911 call about shots fired around 3:17 p.m. Three men were shot on Commonwealth Avenue in the Bronx neighborhood of Soundview, officials said.

One victim, a 29-year-old, was shot in the head and is in critical condition, police told PIX11 News. Two other men, both 29, were also shot. One was shot in the shoulder, and the other in the back. Both are in stable condition.

All three were taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

At this time, no arrests have been made, but authorities are seeking a masked gunman who fled in a white SUV, police said.
