MORRIS HEIGHTS, Bronx (PIX11) — Four people were hurt, including two who are in critical condition, after a fire broke out inside a Bronx barbershop late Thursday night.
It all happened in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx.
The fire broke out just before 10 p.m. Thursday on West Burnside Avenue, at La Roka Barbershop.
The front of the barbershop is charred.
Two people were seriously hurt in this fire, and two others suffered minor injuries.

The windows and the items left behind are damaged after crews battled the flames.
This is normally a busy neighborhood spot; people come here for haircuts, beard trims, and to catch up with the barbers.
But late Thursday night, this storefront became the scene of a major FDNY response.
In total, FDNY sent 46 units and 141 fire and EMS members to the scene.
FDNY says the first call came in at 9:38 p.m. Thursday, just minutes before the shop’s listed closing time of 10 p.m.
Firefighters arrived and quickly called for a second alarm, bringing in even more crews to help fight the fire.

Crews went in and out of the building as they worked to get the fire under control and check for anyone inside.
There is no word yet on exactly how those people were injured or whether any of them were inside the shop when the fire started.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. We are waiting to get an update from FDNY.
