MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was arrested following an incident Thursday evening at a Manhattan homeless shelter, officials said.
The incident leading to the arrest was reported around 6:09 p.m. Thursday at the Manhattan Emergency Shelter, 416 S. 4th St.
Victims in the incident included a 26-year-old woman; a 40-year-old man; a 46-year-old man; a 32-year-old man; and the Manhattan Emergency Shelter.

Nicolus Allen Weiss, 35, of Manhattan, who was identified as the suspect in the case, was arrested at approximately 6:36 p.m. Thursday at the shelter.
He was booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with four counts of battery on a law enforcement officer; one count of interference with a law enforcement officer; and one count of criminal damage to property.
Officers later filed a report around 7 p.m. Thursday in connection with two additional counts of battery on a law enforcement officer at 10001 S. Seth Child Road. Victims in those cases were listed as a 26-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman.
Weis was issued a total bond of $16,000 and remained Friday in the Riley County Jail.
Officers filed a report for four counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of interference with a law enforcement officer and one count for criminal damage to property at approximately 6:09 p.m. on Aug. 20 in the 400 block of S. 4thStreet. Victims listed included a 26-year-old woman, a 40-year-old man, a 46-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and the Manhattan Emergency Shelter. A 35-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Weis was arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer and battery on a law enforcement officer; physical contact with a corrections/court services officer. Weis was issued a total bond of $16,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
