A major upgrade is planned for Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, including a new playground, spray shower, fencing and updated drainage systems. Borough President Vito Fossella and NYC Parks Staten Island Borough Commissioner Joseph Homsey announced a $5.7 million capital funding allocation for the renovation. The playground has not been renovated in decades, and the project will completely overhaul it with brand-new play equipment. The park also includes trails, sports facilities, baseball fields, a basketball court and the Staten Island War Memorial Ice Skating Rink.
