U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik has officially launched her long anticipated campaign for governor. The congresswoman will challenge Gov. Kathy Hochul who is also facing a primary run from Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado. State Party leaders on both sides of the aisle came out to express support for both Hochul and Stefanik, which sets up a dramatic campaign almost exactly one year out from Election Day. Also, Buffalo Mayor-elect Sean Ryan’s job will be anything but a cake walk. Buffalo’s finances are in bad shape. Not only does the city have a large deficit, in late October the city comptroller announced that Buffalo would need to dip into its rainy day fund to balance the books for the current fiscal year. Ryan joined Capital Tonight to discuss.
