BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Heads up, Brooklyn and the Bronx are going car-free on Saturday.
Summer Streets kicks off in Crown Heights at 9 a.m. on Eastern Parkway, becoming a pedestrian paradise for blocks. In the Bronx, it runs along Grand Concourse.
Rain or shine, the party will last through 5 p.m. Eastern Parkway and Grand Concourse will be lined with DJs, dancers, good food, and art. To see more details, click here.

Where is Summer Streets in Brooklyn and the Bronx?
In Brooklyn, it runs on Eastern Parkway from Grand Army Plaza to Buffalo Avenue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In the Bronx, it runs between East Tremont Avenue and Mosholu Parkway from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Are there road closures?
Brooklyn
Eastern Parkway will be fully closed from Grand Army Plaza to Buffalo Avenue. Streets are expected to reopen at 5:30 p.m., and parking in the area is restricted until 6 p.m.
Adjacent avenues and service roads will remain open, according to the Transportation Department.
Bronx
Grand Concourse will be closed from East Tremont Avenue to Mosholu Parkway until 5:30 p.m., and parking is restricted through 6 p.m. Cross streets will remain open.

Who can go?
Anyone without a car! Summer Streets is open to cyclists, runners, and families.
