Oh Frick, we sure have some exciting plans for this fall! The Frick Collection just announced its 2026–27 live concert season, bringing even more music into its gorgeous Upper East Side home.
The museum is already one of NYC’s prettiest places to spend an afternoon, but now there’s even more reason to linger. The new series is bringing live music, Renaissance sounds, acclaimed performers and even free pop-up concerts to the Garden Court.
Here’s everything to know — and all the music, performances, and can’t-miss moments coming to the Frick this fall.
The 2026–27 season kicks off on October 18 with Goya’s Musical World, a specialized program designed to immerse listeners in the soundscapes that surrounded Spanish master Francisco de Goya.
Staged in the state-of-the-art Stephen A. Schwarzman Auditorium, the concert series creates a direct dialogue between live acoustic performances and the masterworks hanging in the surrounding galleries.

Free Garden Court Pop-Ups and Renaissance Polyphony
Visitors exploring the museum this November are in for a rare treat.
Tying into the special exhibition Siena: The Art of Bronze, 1450–1500, the museum will host two 30–minute pop–up concerts in the historic Garden Court on November 14 and November 22 at 2:00 p.m. The performances will be free with a museum ticket.
Performers will recreate surviving fragments of 15th-century Sienese polyphony, allowing guests to take in the music dynamically while wandering the light-filled court or taking a quick break by the central fountain.
Later in the month, acclaimed countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo takes the stage to offer an exclusive preview of his upcoming book and album, Countertenor.

The rest of the season features a star–studded lineup spanning classical performance styles:
Spring Ensembles: Early-music groups Twelfth Night and the Helicon Ensemble will perform in spring 2027 to complement the exhibition Fire: Susanne de Court and the Art of Enamel.
Featured World Talent: Virtuosos including Ian Bostridge, Rihab Chaieb, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Alexandre Tharaud, Paul Lewis, Federico Colli, and 19-year-old piano prodigy Alexandra Dovgan.
Curated Premieres: Acclaimed composer Matthew Aucoin will curate two spring concerts, featuring the world premiere of a brand-new work commissioned directly by the Frick.
Lunchtime Showcases: Juilliard415 and musicians from London’s Royal Academy of Music will play afternoon sets on select dates throughout the fall and spring (October 22, December 17, February 4, and March 4).
