NEW YORK (PIX11) — Weather conditions will turn more humid Sunday, with some additional rain expected.
Clouds will increase on Saturday night as a low‑pressure system lingers south of New Jersey. A few showers are possible, with fog and spotty drizzle in other areas.
Overnight lows will range from the mid‑60s to low 70s, with some 50s likely in the Hudson Valley.
A cold front will approach from the west Sunday morning, and a line of thunderstorms to develop. Humidity will peak as winds shift to the southwest.
Sunday night, the cold front will sweep through, allowing conditions to dry out and clouds to break. Highs will reach the upper 70s to low 80s.
Canadian high pressure moves in to start the last full week of August, bringing sunny skies and low humidity through Wednesday. Highs will stay in the upper 70s to low 80s.
The next chance of rain arrives Thursday.
