Joel Corry has taken the DJ booth somewhere considerably higher than the average club. DJ Mag has released a two-and-a-half-hour recording of his rooftop set from the Marquee Skydeck at Edge NYC, with Manhattan serving as the backdrop.
The performance was filmed 1,100 feet above New York City, giving Corry one of the more spectacular settings imaginable for a full-length dance set.
Across the recording, Corry keeps the energy high while the skyline shifts behind him, turning the Edge observation deck into a temporary open-air club above Manhattan.
It’s exactly the kind of setting dance music was made for. The combination of a long-form DJ set, an enormous city view and a crowd suspended high above the streets gives the performance a scale that feels far removed from a traditional nightclub.
The set also captures Corry during a busy summer run that includes appearances across Europe, including Tomorrowland and Ushuaïa Ibiza.
DJ Mag premiered the complete performance on July 11, giving fans a chance to watch the entire two-and-a-half-hour set rather than a shortened festival edit or individual highlight.
Production was handled by Jayden Kim of OPF Studio, with Kim and Won Jung operating cameras and editing the performance. Demian Neufeld handled the drone footage.
