Queens of the Stone Age have announced a new album. On October 30, the band will release Perfecth via Matador. Today they’ve released the single “Insignificant Other,” which you can hear below. The band also appear to be touring on every land mass on the globe—see those dates below.
“It’s a song about distance,” said frontman Joshua Homme in a statement. “About how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that.”
“Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be ‘perfecth’,” Homme added about the title of the album, a warped spelling of the word “perfect.” “And that title is funny when you’re in a group, but it ain’t so funny when you’re alone.”
Queens of the Stone Age’s last studio album was 2023’s In Times New Roman…. Josh Homme is also featured on a new song by Mastodon, “Snakes for Dinner.”
